Just a nice choice for a weekend pause in Bury St Edmunds with definitely value for money. The powerful shower made my stay memorable. Reserve a table for dinner in advance as it can get busy.

We had a fantastic group getaway! The staff were super welcoming and made us feel at home. It’s just a quick walk to St Edmundsbury Cathedral and the Greene King Brewery Museum, which we really enjoyed. Don't miss out on the delicious breakfast. it’s well worth it!
The only downside was the need for a shower mat in the bathroom, as it felt a bit slippery.

The Dog’s dining scene is a real treat—think local organic produce whipped into delicious meals. Plus, the pub vibes are on point, and the bar staff are ever so friendly, making for a relaxed evening. Gotta love that quiet room for a good night’s kip!
The parking situation left a bit to be desired—first-come, first-served? Not ideal, mate! And a wee bit of wear and tear in the carpets made the room feel less posh than it could have been.

Proximity to Greene King Brewery, spacious outdoor seating area, engaging local history
Inconsistent cleanliness standards observed, especially in shared spaces!!! Small parking area can create significant inconvenience during busy times!!! Noise from the entrance door could be bothersome for those seeking tranquility!!!
